Rodriguez, one of two Georgians on the 20-player roster, is ranked No. 1 in the state in his class by Perfect Game Georgia, as well as the No. 26 player nationally and the No. 3 catcher. The other Georgian on the roster is Colin Anderson, an infielder and outfielder from Acworth.
In addition to catcher, the 6-foot, 198-pound Rodriguez also is a corner infielder.
The roster was announced after a five-day training camp of workouts, practices and scrimmages at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
